    Luis Canas Rioja Gran Reserva is suitable for people looking for the essence of a classic Rioja. Elegant and complex nose - aromas of tobacco, leather, thyme and rosemary. The taste is rounded, balanced and warm. Hints of fruit in liqueur and marmalade notes.

    Ripe fruit combines with interwoven oak to give accents of spices, cherries and a hint of licorice. A beautifully elegant, durable finish. Aged for two years in new French and American oak, this is a handsome, dignified wine that you will enjoy drinking on special occasions.

    Bodegas Luis Canas

    Founded in 1928, although the family can trace their roots in Rioja soil for two centuries. Luis Cañas Wineries have 90 organically managed hectares in the hills of the cooler Rioja Alavesa region, as well as long-term contracts with growers for a further 200 hectares of mixed regime viticulture. This is a dynamic, forward-thinking producer who makes elegant, fruit-filled wines that are neither too oaky nor over-alcoholic.

    Luis Cañas Wineries is a family business dating back to 1928, although the family has been active in the grape growing and wine industry for more than two centuries. Today it is one of the most important wineries of the Rioja Alavesa region. At Luis Cañas, the vinification process starts with 90 hectares of their own vineyards and 200 hectares managed by their regular suppliers, spread over 815 plots. The winery is equipped with the latest modern winemaking systems to consistently produce wines of the highest quality.

    The results continually win loyal customers and win prestigious national and international awards and reviews from the most important tastings and wine magazines in the world.

    The respect for the environment and the effort of every human link involved in the process is the key to turning the benefits of rational viticulture into success
