Rueda red wines The Spanish Rueda known for its white wines also has some blue grape varieties. Some red wines are also produced mainly from the Tempranillo , Merlot , Garnacha, Cabernet Sauvignon grape varieties. The Rueda is located northwest of Madrid, the wine region predominates especially with Verdejo pigeon, this wine from which the Netherlands purchases the largest part is therefore the best known from the area .
