West of the Ribeira del Duero and Rueda is the wine-growing region Toro, which has only had its designation of origin since 1987. The wines in this area are not very well known, but they are getting more and more serious.
The red wines are extracted from the Tinta de Toro ( = a local name for Tempranillo ) and Garnacha. Tinta de Toro must legally be processed in the wine for at least 75 % .
The best wines of the region consist of 100 % Tinta de Toro. By making more and more use of modern production techniques and only being satisfied with the very best and ripest grapes, the wines have become better and better in recent years.
The wines of Finca Sobreno are very well received by the international wine press. They are therefore known as the fastest rising star on the Duero and this is regularly reflected in the number of medals with which the wines are awarded. Finca Sobreno (made from 100 % Tinta de Toro) is a very firm, powerful and tannin-rich wine. wine.
Full ripe, concentrated and complex with a beautiful aroma of blueberries, blackberries and vanilla. After a few years of storage, this wine will certainly come into its own even better. After no less than 12 months of cask aging, the wine can also call itself crianza
