Dolceto d'Alba

Azienda Mario Giribaldi Dolcetto d'Alba Calupo has a ruby red color with intense violet tones. in the nose clear floral sensations and ripe fruit. Structured on the palate with intense fruit, dry, and a soft warm finish

PRODUCTION ZONE

This Dolcetto comes from the vineyard “Schiena del Crottino” in Rodello and is located 460 meters above sea level. The vineyard is 4.85 hectares in size on hilly terrain with marl calcareous and rocky soil and a south-southwest location.

VINEYARDS

The vineyard is organic and composed exclusively of Dolcetto, with Italian clone material. The training system is Guyot with 5,000 vines per hectare.

TECHNOLOGICAL LISTINGS

A maceration of the grapes for 9 days with several pumpovers during the day and a temperature controlled fermentation. After a rest in stainless steel, the wine matures in 30 hl oak barrels for approx. 2 months and then a minimum of 6 months in the Bottle for refining.

CHARACTERISTICS

A ruby red color with intense violet reflections. Clear violet sensations and ripe fruit on the nose. Structured on the palate with intense fruit, dry, clean and a soft enveloping finish.

Food pairing

Because it is so versatile, it goes well with red meat or excellent with ravioli.

SERVING TEMPERATURE: 16-18° C

The Giribaldi winery started at the beginning of the 20th century and has been producing wines for three generations. In these days times were hard, and farming was not only a means of income but also a real pride for those who loved their land, it took blood sweat and tears to make a living and a price for it paid. Ultimately, Azienda Mario Giribaldi has grown into an excellent winery.

The wines of Mario Giribaldi are almost all grown organically, which in turn benefits people and nature, Giribaldi's top wine is his Barolo Ravera Organically made and from a special piece of vineyard with the highest quality.
