Cantina Kaltern Pinot Grigio is a historical wine cooperative that represents the entire municipality and its wine producers. It is the mouthpiece of the wines born near Lake Caldaro and in particular of the Kalterersee (Schiava) variety. These are typical bottles produced by a large community with sensitivity, passion and competence: fine, complex and wonderfully easy to love. The winery, which has its roots in the distant 1900s, has needed more than a century to become what it is today is and what it represents: professionalism, passion, sense of belonging, experience and high quality standards. Today it is one of the most important realities in South Tyrol and the wine community of Caldaro itself, the best known and most loved in the region, is proud of his fame. In this small piece of land, wine is the great protagonist of the life of the community: it has given and continues to give work, fills the residents and farmers with pride and is a full-time professional commitment for many residents, pursued with great passion in many areas . different, whether in the vineyards, in the cellar, in gastronomy or in trade.

The Kaltern Winery is a large family of 650 winegrowers, most of whom own less than one hectare of land (an average of 0.7 hectares, which is the size of a football field), for a total of 450 hectares. They are winemakers with passion and love, who earn their living in their spare time with other professions and enjoy the art of winemaking. Part of Kaltern's striking charm certainly comes from this.

Cantina Kaltern wines come from the oldest DOC area of South Tyrol and mature on the best soils around Lake Caldaro. They are the result of great sensitivity, passion and the use of advanced techniques.
