Domaine DENIZOT is a family business that has existed for 6 generations.

We (Jennifer and Thibauld DENIZOT) are currently at the head of the family estate. Every day, a team of 7 full-time people support us by working with respect for our vines and our terroirs.

Our estate is located in the municipality of Verdigny (municipality bordering Sancerre) and consists of 20.5 hectares of vineyards in two prestigious appellations in the Center Loire: Sancerre and Pouilly Fumé.

The estate is historically located in the Sancerre AOC and today has 18.50 hectares of land, divided between 75% in Sauvignon for our white Sancerre and 25% in Pinot Noir for our red and rosé Sancerre.

Our ancestors came from the village of Amigny, our plot is 65% shared in this village, the remaining 35% is divided between the municipalities of Verdigny, Chavignol and Sancerre.

Our terroirs consist of 90% soils of the Caillottes type (Portlandian limestone), including the famous terroirs of Bouffants, Côte de l'épine, Chasseignes.

The remaining 10% are white lands (Kimmeridgian marl from St Doulchard) including the Damned Mountains

In October 2019, we had the opportunity to recover 2.20 hectares of vines in the Pouilly Fumé appellation from the estate created by Thibauld's grandparents.

Sauvignon is the only grape variety of this beautiful appellation.

Maurice and Josette GAUVIN founded their estate in 1960 and, with the help of their sons, acquired 15 hectares in the AOC Pouilly Fumé. When they retired, a family agreement allowed us to choose and acquire the most beautiful plots of land on the estate to continue the family tradition and provide ourselves with a great challenge.

It was then that the Silex from the Butte de Saint Andelain and the limestone from the village of Boisfleury came to complete and enrich this mosaic of exceptional terroirs, which offers our wines an aromatic palette of rare richness, chiseled by a minerality coming from our various cellars. .

We work every day with precise gestures and actions to support the evolution of plants in a healthy and controlled environment.

We make few interventions in the cellar to express the natural flavors of our grapes and thus obtain wines with a fresh and clear crystalline profile with a nice mineral tension for our white and rosé wines and fleshy and elegant wines for our red wines. wines. .

This ethic of work well done represents for our estate a genuine approach that is increasingly qualitative to convey in our wines all the passion that drives our profession as a winegrower.
