Louis Moreau petit Chablis is a fruity, lively wine, has a golden color and a floral nose with notes of white fruit. Fresh wine with a rich palette of mango, butter and lemon. A full, rich wine with clean freshness and elegance.
Chablis is the "Golden Gate of Burgundy", 180 km southeast of Paris. The vineyard covers more than 5,400 hectares and spans 18 villages .
Petit Chablis
The Moreau family has lived in Chablis since 1814 and Louis is now the sixth generation winemaker.
After studying oenology-viticulture at the University of Fresno State (California) and several experiments in various Californian wineries, Louis returned to Chablis to succeed his father.
Strong in his university career, and eager to pass on a vineyard with respect for the environment to future generations, Louis advocates a well-founded work of the vine. He seeks the most natural solution possible to maintain the quality of his vines and grapes
Today, the estate owns five grands crus, including a monopoly, and exploits numerous plots of land in the Petit Chablis, Chablis and Chablis 1er Cru appellations with the utmost respect for the environment.
The most prestigious of its wines is the monopoly Chablis Grand Cru Clos des Hospices in les Clos, whose family purchase dates back to 1904. Louis Moreau, at the head of the estate since 1994, produces wines in a unique style that combines minerality, finesse, elegance and purity

the production of 40 million bottles, or 20 % of the volume of wines produced in Burgundy (65 % of which is for export).
Composed of 100 % Chardonnay grape variety, it owes its unique typicity to a soil called Kimmeridgian, with alternating layers of limestone and clay that are 240 million years old and contain ammonites and fossilized oysters (ostrea virgula) that give its unique character to the Chablis terroir and bring their minerality and purity to the wines.
