Les Vignerons du Castellas

founded on October 8, 1929 by a handful of winegrowers, passionate about the land through their profession (the vine). They decided to come together to create their own cellar (Les Vignerons du Castellas), by pooling their harvests, and producing their own wine cellars. wine. Since its creation, the cellar has welcomed several generations of winegrowers and is constantly being modernized. The vineyard consists of 300 hectares of vineyards spread across the village of Fare les Oliviers. The grapes only come from the plots, from the workers and are mainly picked by the harvester, although some plots require manual labor. Today, in 2014, the collaborators are rebuilding their outdated vineyard with new grape varieties with a Provencal identity and are busy improving the grape varieties. They renovate their farms to continue making a living from their work, while maintaining the overflowing passion that drives them through ancestral and modern methods.

MARKETING

The turnover of the cooperative cellar has increased by 30% over the past 7 years. The Chairman, Mr ICARD Thierry, and his Board of Directors have developed a medium-term strategy to achieve these results. In addition, an Upstream policy has been introduced in the vineyard to obtain impeccable quality from the vine to the glass, as well as a commercial policy by segmenting products and markets. These offensive and ambitious strategies for the Castellas winegrowers are part of an approach to quality, traceability and sustainability.

The basement

The cellar in particular produces much more rosé, because it has the necessary quality to produce quality rosés in IGP and AOP. Ancestral and modern methods come together in our cellars, allowing our cellar master, Mr. Requena Julien, to work closely with our oenologist, Mr. NASLES Olivier. To jointly develop wines that retain their authenticity, progress, passion and tradition will be palpable in each of our vintages. In order to meet customer demand as best as possible.
