Chateau de Camensac is a powerful Haut Médoc with ripe but present tannins, in which a lot of fruit is fine, juicy and crispy. The fruit, especially blueberries, black cherries and blackberries, blend harmoniously with spicy notes (pepper, cloves) and a light woody touch from the barrel. Several years of cellar rest are needed before approaching this wine. After that it will be a pleasure to discover.
About Domaine Pascal Boban This château, like its neighbors (Ch Belgrave & Ch la Tour Carnet), is located on the appellation St Julien and has a very high quality terroir of 75ha, about half of which is planted with cabernet sauvignon and the other half with merlot. It belonged to the Forner family between 1964 and 2005, after which it was bought by the current owners Mrs. Céline Villars-Foubet (Ch Chasse Spleen) and mr. Merlaut (Ch Gruaud Larose). Both owners are committed to improving the quality of the cru year after year, worthy of its rank in the 1855 classification (5ième Grand Cru Class é).
